Illume — 'Your brighter path to dental care' in Cheltenham & Gloucestershire

Illume held another Open Evening to celebrate the completion of the recent practice refurbishment. We are immensely proud of the new look practice and were able to showcase all the benefits this has delivered.

Guests were able to discuss with a glass of wine and nibbles how they may benefit from the many treatments that we offer. They also had a go in our ‘Guess the Illume team as babies’ competition with monies raised matched by Illume and sent to the Pied Piper Appeal. It’s fair to say that the results weren’t brilliant with many of us bemused at whom we’d been mistaken for!

Congratulations to Mrs Frances Smith and Mrs Jackie Macey who won a case of wine and an electric toothbrush.

Although happy to chat about any aspect of what we do here at Illume there were specific treatments we focused on during the evening.

Dr Adrian Jones and our Implant Co-ordinator Claire were available to discuss the use of implants to restore missing teeth helping clients to avoid unsightly gaps and dentures and to be able to eat whatever they like with confidence. Dr Sarah Moore carried out a live demonstration of the use of Botox to describe how it gently inhibits the facial muscles and helps smooth out lines and wrinkles. She can also provide treatments such as fillers. For further information please follow the link to illumefacial.

Sarah was also on hand to discuss a range of orthodontic treatments to banish crooked teeth and smiles including the new Damon systems which deliver excellent results more quickly and with fewer visits. Follow the link to illumeorthodontics

Dr Tim Rumney was able to discuss how Snore guards can help people, and more importantly their partners, improve their sleep through the use of custom-made anti-snoring appliances. Snoring is an enormous problem to many people who may be unaware that help is at hand. Illume wants to congratulate the proud parents Carley and Paul to the arrival of little Freddie on Saturday 20 March 2010. Carley Warren our clinical coordinator and dental nurse has been part of the Illume team since 2006 and many of our clients will have met her in Laurie's treatment room. We wish her all the best and hope she will enjoy her time at home with the new baby!

In December we had a great team training day at Hotel du Vin in Cheltenham.

The training day was followed by a chocolate making session with Hartley Events.  The idea was to encourage team building at the same time as having great fun. We certainly did this,as you can see on the photos. Ali was delighted that her team won – not that she is at all competitive!

Illume congratulates our Client Coordinator Deborah and husband Ed on the birth of their first baby. Baby Ava May was born 1 August 2009, Mum and baby are doing very well and we've all had a chance to meet her already!
