Wrinkle Reduction

Wrinkles form when there is thinning of natural collagen – an essential part of the skin's support structure – and this occurs through ageing, muscle activity, and inherited traits, aided and abetted by sun exposure, lifestyle and other factors.
Botox® is an injectable biological product eliminating wrinkles by reducing the contractions of overworking wrinkle producing muscles.
Botox® is especially good for wrinkles in the upper third of the face such as
- Deep lines between the eyes
- Worry lines on the forehead
- 'Crows feet' to the side of the eyes
Static wrinkles – those not caused by muscle contraction – are treated by using dermal fillers such as Restylane® or HydraFill®. These products use hyaluronic acid – a material made naturally by the body but which decreases as we age – to eliminate wrinkles still present when the muscles are resting. They can also be used to 'plump up' lips and remove wrinkles around the mouth and nose.
The changes created by these treatments is non-permanent and the effect gradually fades over a few months and so further treatment is required to maintain the more youthful appearance although the effect tends to last longer with repeated applications.
